Darjeeling First Flush 2012 Tea: Still sometime needed

  Pinterest

I have been visiting several Darjeeling Tea gardens in pursuit of upcoming 2012 Darjeeling First Flush teas and today I got you some photos (in fact clicked today itself) which shows it visually that the 2012 Darjeeling First Flush will still need sometime – guessing, a little more than a week. I got to sample some teas, its good but somewhere something is missing and I wouldn’t call it a pure and quality First Flush.

Darjeeling First Flush 2012 Still sometime needed for Darjeeling First Flush 2012. Notice the shoots!

Low elevation Darjeeling tea gardens tend to flush a little early due to the warm temperature prevalent whereas tea estates in the vicinity of Darjeeling town tend to flush a little late (for obvious reason, cold weather conditions). Actual First Flush 2012 Darjeeling Tea season hasn’t even started yet and tea gardens even haven’t started with their production.

Darjeeling First Flush 2012 Preparing for First Flush 2012, notice “two leaves and a bud” are missing

Its been two days now, the sun is bright and warm – we are hoping that we will soon start seeing undulating hills covered with florescent green “two leaves and a bud”.
